The UFC President Talks Plans For 2018 On UFC Tonight

Dana White Gives Latest Update On Brock Lesnar & CM Punk Fighting In UFC In 2018

UFC President Dana White appeared on UFC Tonight on FOX Sports 1 (FS1) on Wednesday evening to clear up some rumors and break some news regarding some upcoming fights.

During his appearance on the show, the UFC Tonight crew, which consisted of Michael Bisping and Kenny Florian, asked the UFC boss man about whether or not fans can expect to see WWE Superstar and former UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar enter the Octagon again at some point in 2018.

“Anything is possible, yeah,” said White. “Anything is possible. Brock has always shown interest in coming over and fighting here in the UFC. I wouldn’t be shocked if he gave it one more shot.”

After CM Punk made headlines seemingly expressing interest in competing at the UFC 225 pay-per-view card in his hometown of Chicago, Illinois on June 9th, the UFC President was also asked for the latest news regarding his status with the company.

Punk vs. Mike Jackson has been rumored for the show, although nothing is set in stone at this point. Jackson was the man Mickey Gall defeated in his Octagon debut to earn the eventual fight with Punk that he also won at UFC 203 back in September of 2016.

When asked if Chicago is where Punk will fight next, White was quick to point out that there is not currently a deal for him to fight anywhere.

“I don’t know. I don’t know if that’s where he will fight, but you know, he is healthy now and he’s interested in fighting,” said White. “We’ll see what happens. There is no deal for CM Punk to fight anywhere, so we’ll see how that thing plays out.”
