Original Plans for Mae Young Classic Tournament; Another Name for WWE Evolution

— The original plans for the Mae Young Classic tournament was for Toni Storm to face Tegan Nox in the finals. However, Nox suffered a devastating knee/leg injury in her quarterfinal match and so the company had to rebook the tournament. Nox was initially booked to beat both Rhea Ripley (her quarterfinal opponent) and Io Shirai (her semifinal opponent). The belief was that in the finals, Storm would win the entire tournament so it’s likely that idea is still the plan.

— Add Michelle McCool as another former WWE “diva” who will be appearing at or possibly wrestling at the upcoming all-women’s Evolution PPV in October. In a graphic that flashed at the Barclays Center last night during the NXT TakeOver event, McCool’s image was front and center which shouldn’t come as a huge surprise as she is pretty much a lock to be involved in most events where former WWE female wrestlers are involved seeing that she is married to the Undertaker.
